Joanne (“Jody”) Pileggi Pinckney

Jody Pileggi PinckneyJody Pileggi PinckneyMs. Pinckney’s practice is concentrated in corporate, commercial and alternative entity litigation under Delaware law. Her work is primarily in the Delaware Court of Chancery, but she has also tried commercial cases in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, and the Delaware Superior Court. She also has broad experience representing creditors in bankruptcy matters and has litigated numerous adversary proceedings in that Court. In addition, Ms. Pinckney has been appointed as fact finder and/or ad litem counsel by the Delaware Court of Chancery in various guardianship matters before the Court. She is also a mediator for the Delaware state courts and the Delaware bankruptcy court. She is barred in the state of Delaware and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and she is admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She is also admitted to appear before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Ms. Pinckney began her career as an associate with Klehr, Harrison, Harvey, Branzberg and Ellers and helped to establish that firm’s Delaware office. She then moved to Wolf Block as a litigation associate, where she helped to establish that firm’s Delaware office and practiced for five years. Ms. Pinckney then moved to the Delaware corporate ligation boutique of Bouchard, Margules & Friedlander, as counsel, for six and one-half years. In 2007, she opened the firm that is now known as Pinckney, Harris & Weidinger, LLC.

She received her law degree in 1993, cum laude, from Widener University School of Law. Her undergraduate degree in business administration, cum laude, is from Neumann College.

Ms. Pinckney is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association, the Delaware Rodney Inns of Court, and the Delaware Chapter of IWIRC. She also is an executive member of the St. Thomas More Society and is a past board member of the Delaware Chapter of the Jewish National Fund.
